Turnul Negru
About Turnul Negru
Turnul Negru, or the Black Tower, is a striking medieval watchtower built in the 15th century and situated near the city walls of Brașov. It offers panoramic views of the old town and the surrounding Carpathian landscape. Despite its name, which comes from a fire blackening in the 16th century, the tower is a beacon of Brașov's rich history.
Best Time/Season to Visit:
The tower is particularly appealing in the late spring and summer when the surrounding vegetation is lush and the walking paths are most accessible.
