How it works

How do I start playing a quest?

Go to the designated starting point and tap on play. Then, you will be redirected to the location screen, where you can see the exact location of the starting point and tap on continue to begin the game.

Do I need an internet connection to play?

You need internet to download the game, but once the game is downloaded, you can play offline.

To download the game, all you have to do is tap on play after you purchase the game. This will automatically download the game on your phone.

How much battery does the app need?

Try to have your phone as charged as possible before starting. Anything above 50% should be fine.

Can I play the quest whenever I want?

Yes, unless there are time limitations explicitly mentioned in the quest description.

Can I stop the quest and continue later?

Yes, anytime, for as many times as you wish. Just tap on the menu icon while playing and choose the Pause button. To start again, just open back the app, tap on Play and then choose Resume.

How do I change the language of the game?

If you already started the game, but downloaded it in a wrong language, please quit the game, then go to your account and delete all downloaded games. Then, go back to the game, tap on play and download in the correct language.


I purchased the quest on another platform (eg. GetYourGuide, TripAdvisor), but I can't find it my quests

If this happens, most likely you created an account in Questo with a different e-mail than the one you used when purchasing the quest on the other platform. To fix this, just change your e-mail from your Questo account. If you need help, please contact our chat.

I logged in with Apple ID, and I can't find the quests I booked on another platform (eg. GetYourGuide, TripAdvisor)

By logging in with Apple ID, your e-mail address is hidden, and therefore the unlock doesn't work. To fix this, just change your e-mail from your Questo account with the e-mail you used for booking. If you need help, please contact our chat.

How can I invite others to play with my booking?

Use the Invite a friend section that will become available on the quest page right after purchase and insert the e-mail addresses of the friends you want to invite.

I paid the quest using my Apple account, but now it asks me to pay again

Go to your profile in the top right corner and tap on Restore purchases. In most of cases this will solve it. If not, just contact us using the Support button.

How can I get a refund?

You can ask for a refund if you notify us 24h in advance to the booking time or if you couldn't play the quest due to technical issues. To proceed with the refund, just contact our support team by using the chat available in the app (Profile - Support - Questo Support) or by contacting us at explore@questoapp.com. We will manage your refund in less than 24h.

I want to create a quest in my city. What do I do?

Please contact us at storyteller@questoapp.com. Mention details regarding your writing experience, the city you live in, your idea for a quest, and any other details you deem necessary.


I have an issue with the app. What can I do?

What happens if I can’t solve a clue?
