About this quest

The year is 1455 and Brasov is preparing for siege. A scout has arrived at Catherine's Gate with an urgent warning: the enemies are approaching, and the city must be ready before dawn.

As the messenger, you must carry the alarm across the city.

Your route takes you through the narrowest street in Brasov, past the bastions the guilds built and defended, to the Franciscan church whose bell will alert every citizen, and finally to the hidden food cellar that will sustain the city through whatever comes next.

Along the way you will discover how Vlad the Impaler's love story began on Rope Street, why every Catholic church bell rings at noon, and what really happened during the Great Fire of 1689.

This is Part I of a two-part quest set in medieval Brasov. The route covers Catherine's Gate, Strada Sforii, Weavers' Bastion, Spinners' Bastion, Postavarilor Bastion, and the Franciscan Church.

Highlights

  • - Walk through Catherine's Gate, the only tower gate in Brasov with four turrets, and discover what Jus Gladii meant for the city's rulers- Navigate Strada Sforii (Rope Street), the narrowest street in Romania, and find the arch Vlad the Impaler built for Katharina- Reinforce three guild bastions along the mountain wall and learn who really built the Postavarilor Bastion and why- Ring the Franciscan church bell at the right moment and uncover the battle that made noon bells ring across Europe every day- Find the hidden cellar on Muresenilor Street and finish your mission before Brasov runs out of time

Getting the city ready for assault is now critical.

Your mission is to carry the warning to all those responsible for Brasov's defence: the gatekeepers, the guild bastions, the fire watchmen, the church bell.

Every stop matters. Every delay costs lives.
