Lost Stories and Hidden Streets: Andersen’s Copenhagen

Copenhagen is stirring — shadows crawl where light once lived, and forgotten corners echo with words never written.

Centuries ago, Hans Christian Andersen hid a tale so haunting it threatened to unravel the soul of the city. That tale is waking. Statues are crying, memories vanishing. You and your team of Seekers must walk the city’s hidden streets, solve mind-bending puzzles, and uncover the 15 lost fragments before the troll in the tale becomes real.

This is no ordinary walk — it’s a journey into mystery, memory, and magic. A real-world adventure to reconnect, to feel alive, and to save a story before it's lost forever.

The mission: Your story in Copenhagen

Centuries ago, Hans Christian Andersen wrote a story so powerful, so terrifying, that it was hidden — locked away in ink and silence. The story whispered of a troll who devoured memories, breathing out shadows, erasing entire lives from the city’s soul. It was never published.

Now, something stirs beneath Copenhagen. Statues weep. Time slips. And you — the Seeker — are drawn into the city’s forgotten pulse.

Find the 15 hidden fragments of Andersen’s lost story before it consumes what’s left.

Literary Copenhagen

The city closely associated with Hans Christian Andersen

Hans Christian Andersen lived much of his adult life in Copenhagen, where the city’s streets, theaters and harbour became part of the world surrounding his work. His 1837 tale The Little Mermaid later inspired Copenhagen’s best-known waterside monument. This quest uses a fictional story; its literary setting is an invitation to notice the real city that shaped Andersen’s career. Playable languages: English.
