About this quest
Discover the beautiful city of Zurich as if you were one of its residents! There is no better way to discover the old town, the historical monuments, the Limmat River, the lake, and some hidden gems only a real Zürcher know!
Is this for you?
Who it's for
First-time visitors with half a day get the main sights and some quieter corners locals know, walking from the main station past Paradeplatz, the Grossmünster and Lindenhof to the Polybahn. Couples and friends who enjoy a puzzle at each stop will like the steady 4.1 km over about three hours. Anyone hoping to tour the Opera House or churches inside should choose another option, since this one stays outdoors.

Frequently asked questions
Can I do this Zurich walk last-minute, without booking a time?
Yes. There is no group to join and no guide to meet, so you can start whenever you like on your phone. You can also pause along the way and continue later, which helps if you only decide on the day or want to stop for a coffee.
Does the route pass the Swiss National Bank?
Yes. The Swiss National Bank is one of the stops, reached right after Paradeplatz and before the walk heads on to Quai Bridge and the Zurich Opera House. You see it from outside, as the stops on this quest are not entered.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
It starts at Zurich Main Station and finishes at the Polybahn, so it does not return to the station. The route covers 4.1 km, and most players take about three hours, including walking and solving the puzzles at each stop.
