The real 1875 fire behind a legendary river of whiskey
In June 1875, a fire in Dublin’s Liberties reached bonded whiskey stores and sent burning alcohol through nearby streets. Contemporary accounts recorded deaths caused largely by drinking contaminated spirits rather than the flames themselves. This quest builds a fictional “Whiskey Hellfire” mystery around that documented disaster, clearly separating historical evidence from later dramatic retellings. Playable languages: English.
