About this quest

On Pentecost Sunday in 1896, through the villages northwest of Bucharest, a news spread like wildfire: "The war has begun!".

Under the eyes of the worried peasants, who were watching from in front of the gates, groups of five, seven, ten or twenty men, some in city clothes, others in peasant clothes, ran past, taking the road to Pitesti.

Here and there, a man stops exhausted and falls, cursing, in the middle of the road. The others groan, grit their teeth and keep running...

Highlights

  • Walk along the oldest park in Bucharest, the place designed by the peisagist of the Imperial Gardens of Vienna.

  • Cross "The Park from the Road", the one that even Queen Mary liked to ride around, and the place who hosted the famous "flower fights".
