The adventure

About this quest

The city feels older tonight. Heavier. Like something has been waiting a very long time for someone to come asking.

You've been recruited by the Bureau of Otherworldly Observation, and Agent Howl is handing you your first case: a district full of the dead, and a file nobody has ever managed to close.

Thirteen stops. Thirteen things this city would rather you didn't look at too closely. Some of them are waiting for you.

The dead here were real people, and they remember what the plaques leave out. Ask the right questions and they'll tell you. Ask the wrong ones and you'll find out why the file is still open.

Keep your phone torch handy. You'll want it. 🕯️

Is this for you?

Who it's for

Couples, friends and small groups of adults who like ghost stories and dark history get a 1.6 km walk through Fells Point, past old taverns, a church and the Fell Family Cemetery, solving puzzles as the dead tell their side. Plan on about 90 minutes. Anyone wanting a live guide to question, or a story gentle enough for young children, should pick something else.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the ghost walk start and finish?
It starts at Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park and finishes at Broadway Pier, so it is not a loop. In between you visit 13 stops in total, including Duda's Tavern, the Admiral Fell Inn, Broadway Market and the Fell Family Cemetery.
How long does it take?
Most players take around 90 minutes, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers about 1.6 km through Fells Point, and you can pause and continue later if you want to stop for a drink along the way.
Can we do it as a small group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the route. There is no large tour crowd to join and no guide, just your own group following the case from stop to stop on a phone.
Do we need to book a start time?
No. It is self-guided, so you can start whenever you like, day or evening, and pause and pick it up again later. The app leads you between stops, tells each place's story and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you.
Is it suitable for kids?
The story is written for people who enjoy ghost stories and dark history, built around real people who died in the district and a case file nobody has closed. It is aimed at adults, so parents should judge whether the darker themes suit their children.
