Yes. The app leads you on foot through 10 stops, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join. You start whenever you like and can pause and continue later.
Is it like a spy-themed escape room?
It works like an outdoor escape game with an espionage theme. Instead of a locked room, you solve puzzles hidden in real places such as the Vancouver Public Library, the Orpheum Theatre, the Vancouver Art Gallery and the Roundhouse, while learning the history behind each one.
Can I do it as a driving tour?
It is designed as a walk. The route covers about 3.5 km on foot through downtown streets, and the puzzles rely on looking closely at what is in front of you at each stop, so it suits walkers rather than drivers.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
It starts at the Randall Building Mural and finishes at the Warehouse Strip, so it does not return to the start. Most players take around two and a half hours, including walking and puzzles. It is best played during the day.
