Frequently asked questions
Where does the Christmas scavenger hunt in Reno start?
It starts at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Reno. From there the app guides you along the magic trail, with stops that include the Downtown Reno Library, Powning Park and the Nevada Museum of Art.
How long does it take and how far will we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes to cover about 2.3 km and 12 locations. You can pause whenever you like, for a hot drink or a break, and continue later from where you stopped.
Is it good for kids?
Yes, it is built as a holiday outing for families. Santa, Sparky and Rudolph guide and gently roast the players, and kids get puzzles to solve and dares to complete. Younger children may need a grown-up to help with the puzzles and the 2.3 km walk.
Can we play it as an office Christmas party or large group?
Yes. There is no hosted guide and no per-person pricing: one ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices included. Teams can play together on a phone, working through the puzzles and dares as Ground Control.
Do we need to book a time slot, and what if it rains?
No time slot is needed. You start whenever suits you, with no guide to meet. The game is played outdoors as you walk between locations, so dress for the weather, and you can pause if conditions turn and pick it up again later.
