Communist-era context
Everyday absurdity inside a real dictatorship
Romania’s communist dictatorship reshaped Bucharest through surveillance, shortages, political repression and major demolition, especially under Nicolae Ceaușescu. The quest uses satire and a fictional day to approach that period; its humor should not obscure the real losses experienced by residents or the destruction of neighborhoods for the Civic Center project. Playable languages: English, Romanian.
