About this quest

Athens, Greece. The gods are silent, but the laws of men are not. Once a year, fourteen young Athenians are sent to Crete—never to return. This year, among them is the daughter of Demokritos, a renowned merchant. Desperate, he reaches out to you: “The place where she’s being held is hidden. Will you find her before it’s too late?”

Your quest begins through the myth-laced streets of Athens. Solve divine puzzles, follow ancient clues, and uncover the secrets buried beneath temples and stones. Each step brings you closer to the truth—and the danger.

What to Expect

This self-guided walking tour in Athens combines exploration, storytelling, and puzzle-solving into one unique experience. As you navigate through the city, you will discover 11 carefully selected locations, each revealing a piece of the story.

The entire quest takes approximately 5400 minutes to complete and covers 5.2km on foot. You will move at your own pace, with the freedom to pause whenever you want to take photos, grab a coffee, or simply soak in the atmosphere.

Each location features a challenge or puzzle that unlocks the next chapter of your story. These challenges are designed to be fun and engaging while teaching you about the history, culture, and hidden gems of Athens.

The mission: Your story in Athens

It is the law: every year, seven Athenian youths and seven maidens are sent to Crete to be devoured by the Minotaur. The sacrifices for this year have already been selected. Demokritos’ daughter is one of them. 

You receive a message from Demokritos, the famous Athenian merchant. “The location of her confinement is a complete secret. Will you save my daughter?"
