Yes. This is a self-guided game played on your phone across the Acropolis hill. At each of its 13 stops the app tells the story or myth of the place and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you. Start whenever you like, with no group to join and no guide.
Where is the Parthenon?
The Parthenon stands on top of the Acropolis hill in Athens. On this route it is the tenth stop, reached after walking from the South Entrance past the Theatre of Dionysus, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Propylaea and the Temple of Nike.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Acropolis South Entrance and finishes at the Panorama View by the Greek flag, so it does not return to the start. Along the way you pass the Theatre of Dionysus, the Asklepion, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Propylaea, the Parthenon and the Erechtheion.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take around 70 minutes, walking and puzzles included, over about 1.4 km. There is no time slot to book, and you can pause the game and continue later if you want to linger at the Parthenon or take a rest.
Is Acropolis admission included, and can we play as a group?
No, admission tickets to the Acropolis site are not included, so arrange entry separately. For the game itself, one ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends or family can follow the stories and solve the puzzles side by side.
