A community visible through surviving places and memory
Bucharest once supported a large and diverse Jewish community whose synagogues, schools, theaters and businesses shaped the city. Fascist persecution, the Holocaust in Romania and later emigration dramatically reduced that population. The route connects surviving places with a history that should be treated as living heritage rather than a vanished curiosity. Playable languages: English.
