Frequently asked questions

Can I play it in English?
No. The quest is available only in Romanian, so the story and the puzzles at each stop are in Romanian. It suits players who read the language comfortably, or groups where at least one person can read and translate as you walk.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The route is a loop of about 4.1 km. It starts at Fântâna de la Universitate and finishes at Palatul Suțu, passing places such as Scala, Cărturești, the Ateneu, Biserica Boteanu and the Palatul Telefoanelor. Most players take just under two hours, walking and puzzles included.
Is it suitable for children?
No minimum age is given, but the story describes heavy destruction and people trapped under rubble. Older children and teenagers who read Romanian and are curious about the earthquake are likely to engage with it best, while parents of younger children may prefer to judge the dramatic content first.
Do we need to book, and can we pause?
There is no time slot to book: the quest is free to play, so you can start whenever you like and play as a group of friends or family. You can pause and continue later. Note that some checkpoints may have temporary construction work nearby.
