The mission: Your story in Boston

Patriot, or Pat for short, is a lost ghost haunted by fragments of who he once was. He knows he was born and raised here, and has a fierce hatred of monarchy, but his name and home have vanished from memory.

Trapped between eras, Pat must comb the city’s streets and uncover clues hidden in Boston’s architecture and art to piece together his identity.

If Pat fails to remember who he is, he may remain lost forever. Travel into Boston's past and help Pat reclaim his story before it fades away.

Boston urban-history context

How a buried highway reconnected downtown and the waterfront

The Central Artery once cut across central Boston as an elevated highway. The Big Dig moved it underground, and the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway opened along the former route in 2008, reconnecting downtown neighborhoods with the waterfront. This quest uses that transformed landscape to link modern infrastructure, public parks and older North End history on one walk.
