Montjuïc Castle grew from a 17th-century fortification and later served as a military stronghold, prison and execution site. Its position above the port made the hill strategically important long before it became a major cultural and recreational area. This quest adds fictional witchcraft to that real landscape; the magical case is not presented as documented castle history.
