About this quest
Forget every ghost story you've heard about this city. This Halloween, ten restless spirits are loose on its streets. 👻 No history book knows their names. No tour guide has heard of them. Most are just lost souls. One is lying to you. 💀
A hooded Oracle needs a ghost hunter. Every spirit is stuck on unfinished business: solve its mystery, catch it, and it gives up a clue. Follow the trail across town, crack ciphers and riddles (some only the street itself can answer), then name the Evil One and destroy it before it finds you. 🕷️
Is this for you?
Who it's for
Starting at LBC, this 2.3 km trail across Virginia Beach sends you after ten restless spirits, with ciphers and riddles that only the street can answer. Friends, couples, families with older kids and escape-room fans get around 90 minutes of ghost hunting at their own pace. Anyone wanting a live guide telling stories on a fixed night walk, or younger children easily spooked, should pick something else.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a guided ghost tour of Virginia Beach?
No, it is self-guided on your phone. The app leads you from place to place, tells each spirit's story and sets a puzzle there. Solve each ghost's unfinished business to catch it and earn a clue, then name the Evil One at the end. There is no guide and no fixed start time.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The walk starts at Point 1 - LBC. Plan on around 90 minutes to cover about 2.3 km on foot, though you can go at your own pace. You can pause at any point and continue later, so a break for food or a rest does not cost you your progress.
Is this haunted walk suitable for kids?
It is a horror-themed story with ciphers and riddles, some of which you can only answer by looking at the street around you. It suits older kids and teens who enjoy spooky stories and puzzles. Younger children may find the theme too scary or the riddles hard to follow.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, so friends or family can play together. There is no time slot to book. Start whenever suits you, day or evening, and pause and pick it up again later if you need to.
Is it outdoors, and what if it rains?
Yes, the whole route is outdoors on the streets, and several puzzles are answered by what you see in front of you. Dress for the weather. Since you can start any time and pause whenever you like, you can wait out a shower or finish on a drier day.
Is Ghost Hunt in Virginia Beach self-guided?
Yes. The Questo app guides you between locations without a tour guide or fixed departure. Start when it suits you and pause if needed.
Where does Ghost Hunt in Virginia Beach start and finish?
