About this quest
Long before Rome ruled the Adriatic, the Liburnians were known for their ships, trade, traditions and beliefs. Their legacy lives on in Opatija through the name Liburnia.
Follow three generations of queens leading a Liburnian tribe. Under the last queen, tensions with Rome reach a breaking point.
What will she decide? Will there be another queen to inherit the coronation pendant? And what ancient prophecy does it hide?

Starting and finishing at the Walk of Fame, this 1.9 km seafront loop passes Slatina beach, Villa Angiolina and the Maiden with the Seagull as three Liburnian queens face Rome, in about an hour and a half. Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts and ends at the Walk of Fame on the Opatija seafront. Along the way you pass Slatina beach, the small harbour Portić, Hotel Kvarner, Villa Angiolina and the Croatian Museum of Tourism, Angiolina Park, St. James Church and the Maiden with the Seagull.
How long is the walk and how far do you go?
The route covers about 1.9 km and takes around 90 minutes, including time for the story and the puzzles. You can pause at any point, for a swim at Slatina beach or a coffee, and continue later from where you stopped.
Is it suitable for children?
It is marked family friendly, with puzzles rated easy to medium that you solve in the real world. It suits children old enough to follow a story and look for clues, with adults helping on the trickier ones. Bring a hat, sunscreen and water for everyone.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, and there is no time slot to book. The route is open 24/7, though it is better in daylight. Make sure your phone is fully charged or bring a power bank, as the quest runs on it.
