It starts at Castle Meadow and finishes at a stop called The Final Stretch, so it does not return to where you began. In between are 15 chapters over about 1.8 km, including The Animal Vicar, The Lost River, The Stone Heads and Peter The Animal Man.

Most players take around 1.5 hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. You do not have to finish in one go: you can pause at any point and pick up where you left off later, which helps with younger children or a café break.
