Do I need to download an app to play?
Yes, you play on your phone in the Questo app. It leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join.
Where does the tour start and finish?
It starts at Königsplatz and finishes at the Old Town Hall, so it is not a loop. In between, you pass the Führerbau, the Braunes Haus site at the NS-Dokumentationszentrum, Karolinenplatz, Café Luitpold, the Hofgarten, the Feldherrnhalle, Viscardigasse and the Hofbräuhaus.
How long does it take?
Most players take a little over two hours, around 130 minutes including walking and puzzles, to cover the 2.9 km route. It is best played during the day, and you can pause and continue later if you want a break.
Is it suitable for children?
It is recommended for families, but the story deals with Nazi propaganda and Hitler's fanaticism in 1938, and the puzzles mean reading clues in the streets. It suits older children and teenagers better than young kids.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together. There is no fixed time slot, so you can start whenever you like, with no tour group to join and no guide to wait for.
