About this quest

Milan, in the time of Leonardo da Vinci. Something strange keeps happening in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie: the snake from the Sforza coat of arms vanishes from the fresco each morning. One night, Leonardo hides in the dark and catches the Devil himself at work.

A deal is struck. If you, his brightest student, can solve the Devil's riddles across Milan's streets, the artwork will be saved. If not, Leonardo's work is destroyed.

This self-guided walking tour takes you to 10 real locations connected to Leonardo's years in Milan: the Duomo, the Ambrosiana Library (home to his original Codex Atlanticus), the hidden crypt he called "the very centre of Mediolanum," and the vineyard Ludovico il Moro gave him as a gift.

A perfect Milan city game for history lovers, families, and anyone curious about the streets Leonardo actually walked. No booking required.

Leonardo in Milan

A Renaissance court where Leonardo worked

Under the Sforza court, Milan attracted artists and engineers including Leonardo da Vinci and Bramante. Leonardo worked for Ludovico il Moro and contributed to projects associated with Sforza Castle, including the painted decoration of the Sala delle Asse. The enigma is an original game story; Leonardo’s presence at the court and Milan’s role as a Renaissance center are historical. Playable languages: English, Italian, Dutch, German, French, Spanish.
