Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Süleymaniye Camii and finishes at Topkapı Palace, so it does not return to the start. In between you pass the tombs of Suleiman and Hurrem Sultan, the Istanbul University gate, the Grand Bazaar, the Basilica Cistern, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Hagia Irene.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take about 2 hours 15 minutes, including walking and puzzles, over roughly 4 km. You can pause at any point and continue later, so a coffee or lunch break along the way is easy to fit in.
Does the route include the tombs of Suleiman the Magnificent and Hurrem Sultan?
Yes. Right after the start at Süleymaniye Camii, the second and third stops are Suleiman the Magnificent's tomb and the tomb of Hurrem Sultan. The story of Suleiman and the civilizations that shaped the city runs through the whole walk.
Do we go inside the mosques, the cistern or the palace?
No. Entering the places is not part of the experience. The stories and puzzles are all based on what you can see from outside, so you can follow the route without going into Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern or Topkapı Palace.
Is it free, and do we need to book a time?
The quest is free to play and there is no time slot to book. You start whenever you like on your phone, with no group to join and no guide, and friends or family can walk it together at their own pace.
