A 16th-century mayor spent his life secretly investigating why 130 children vanished from this town in 1284 — and never told anyone what he found. Follow his hidden notes past the real Piper's House and the eerily silent Bungelosenstraße to his own grave, solving puzzles tied to genuine landmarks, until the truth splits into three competing explanations: plague, emigration, or legend.
