Frequently asked questions
Is there a detective story you can play on the streets of Fort Myers?
Yes. This is a self-guided detective game played on your phone. A whistleblower brings you secret information, and you follow the app from place to place, solving puzzles in what you see around you to uncover a secret society known as The Kingmakers before its next scheme.
How long is the walk?
The route covers about 2.2 km and takes around 90 minutes, including time to read the story and solve the puzzles. You can pause at any point and continue later, so you can stop for a break or a meal and pick up where you left off.
Is it suitable for kids?
It is aimed at adults and families with teens. The plot is a conspiracy thriller and the puzzles involve decoding secrets, which teenagers usually enjoy. Younger children may find the story and the code-breaking hard to follow over a 90-minute walk.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, so friends or family can solve it together. There is no set time slot and no guide to meet. Start whenever suits you, and pause and continue later if you need to.
Is it played outdoors, and what if it rains?
The game is played outdoors on foot across about 2.2 km, so check the weather and dress for it. Because you choose your own start time and can pause and resume, you can wait out a shower or come back another day.
