Frequently asked questions

If I want a date that’s a bit mysterious and elegant—what should I plan?

Start near Estoril Railway Station at golden hour, then slip into The Spies’ Nest. You’ll follow WWII-era clues, stroll through luxurious villas and shadowy corners, solving puzzles together while the sea breeze and evening light make everything feel cinematic.

As a parent with teenagers, will this adventure keep them hooked?

Yes. Teens usually love the intrigue: the hunt for the secret spy, historical backdrops, cool architecture like Casal de S. Roque, and the Fort of the Cross. Plenty of opportunity for them to feel like sleuths without being scared or overwhelmed.

We’re friends looking for a fun group outing—how can this quest be special?

Make it into a team mission! Challenge yourselves to uncover the spy’s identity fastest, compare theories, and laugh about the red herrings. Afterwards, relax by the sea or in a local café and swap stories—it’s both an adventure and a hangout.

I live here—will I really discover anything new with this?

For sure. Even locals say the quest reveals hidden gardens, forgotten façades, and stories about Ian Fleming’s time here. It’s a chance to see familiar roads under a new lens—light, shadows, details you might’ve skipped before.

Do I need to book ahead or organize anything?

Nope. Just buy the quest on the Questo app, download it, and start from Estoril Railway Station whenever you want. No guide, no group times—freedom to choose your moment.

What is the James Bond connection in Estoril?
The route explores Estoril’s wartime spy atmosphere and the people and places that inspired Ian Fleming’s first James Bond novel, Casino Royale. The game’s secret-agent mission is fictional.
