Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at the Royal Orfeum, today the Madách theatre, and finishes at the Vigadó Concert Hall. The route is not a loop, so plan your onward trip from the Vigadó. Café Gerbeaud is the stop just before the finish.
How long does it take and how far is it?
Most players take a little over three hours, walking and puzzles included, to cover about 4.6 km. You can pause at any point, for example for a coffee at one of the cafés on the route, and continue later.
Is there a best day or time to play?
Avoid Sunday, because the Rákóczi Market Hall on the route is closed that day, and play in daylight, since playing at night is not recommended. There is no time slot to book, so start whenever suits you, with a charged phone or a power bank.
Can we play as a couple or a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, and the route works well for couples. No attraction tickets are needed at any of the stops, and you follow the stories and puzzles on a phone at your own pace, without a guide.
