Is this a guided murder mystery tour of Venice?
There is no guide. You play on your phone while the app leads you between stops around the San Marco area, tells the story of each place and sets puzzles. You gather clues and interrogate suspects to decide whether Walter, Percy or someone else is behind Bella Wanderlust's death.
How is it different from an escape room in Venice?
You still solve puzzles as a team, but outdoors in the streets rather than in a locked room. Each puzzle is set in what is in front of you at real places such as Teatro La Fenice and the Ateneo Veneto, and you can pause and continue later.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
It starts at the Clock Tower (Point 1). Plan on about 90 minutes for roughly 2 km on foot, with stops including Chiesa di Santa Maria del Giglio, St Mark's Campanile, the Ateneo Veneto, the Monumento a Niccolò Tommaseo and Teatro La Fenice.
Is it suitable for kids?
The story centres on a murder and asks you to question suspects, so it suits older kids and teens who enjoy detective puzzles. Younger children may find the theme less fitting and lose interest over a walk of about 2 km lasting around 90 minutes.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, with everyone playing on their own phones. There is no time slot to book: start whenever you like, and pause and pick it up again later if you need a break.
Is this a murder mystery dinner in Venice?
No. You become the detectives outdoors in Venice, following evidence and suspects in the Questo app rather than watching actors during a meal.
Is this an escape room?
No. It has puzzles and a case to solve, but the investigation takes place outdoors around the city rather than in a locked room.
