"Stonehaven's Secrets!" is a magical adventure that will take you through the history of the Scottish fishing town: Stonehaven!

Along with learning about this beautiful land, you will also go on a fun fuelled fantasy journey.

You get to play the role of Captain Blue, a wizard from a different Galaxy, who has travelled to Stonehaven in search of the lost King. But will you find him?!

This game is perfect for your day & can be played with the family, your friends, on your own, or even as a date.

Yes. This is a self-guided story game played on your phone, and it is free to play. You take the role of Captain Blue, searching for a lost king, and solve puzzles at ten stops that run from Market Square through the beach front, boardwalk and harbour to the coast.
Does the route pass Stonehaven Open Air Pool?
Yes. The Open Air Pool is the third stop, after Market Square and Cowie Bridge. From there the walk continues to the bay, the beach front and the boardwalk. At each stop the app tells you about the place and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
It starts at Market Square and finishes at the War Memorial / Dunnottar Castle, so it does not end where it began. The route covers about 3.1 km, and most players take around two hours including walking and puzzles.
Is it suitable for children?
It suits families with primary-age children best. The story is playful fantasy rather than a history lecture, with a wizard from another galaxy looking for a lost king. Bear in mind the distance of about 3.1 km and the coastal route section near the end when judging younger walkers.
