Frequently asked questions
Is there a self-guided walking tour of Sorrento?
Yes. This quest is played on your phone. The app leads you through Sorrento's historic centre from stop to stop, plays audio stories about local legends and sets puzzles in what you see around you. Along the way you also get tips for gelato, coffee and brunch spots.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at The Gorge and is a loop, so it finishes at A Familiar Face, back where you began. In between you pass 15 stops, including the Valley of the Mills, The House of the Quarrels and Siren Encounter, over about 1.8 km.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take around 90 minutes, including walking and solving the puzzles. You can start any time, pause whenever you like for a coffee or gelato, and continue later from where you stopped.
Is it good for kids?
It is tagged as a kids' favourite and a family favourite, and suits school-age children who can follow an audio story and enjoy spotting details and solving puzzles in the real streets. Very young children may find the 1.8 km walk and the puzzles too much.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers the whole group playing together on the route. There is no fixed time slot and no group to join, so you can start whenever suits you and walk at your own pace.
