The adventure

About this quest

What happens when an empire falls? The things that were meant to stay hidden start to move. For four centuries, Augustus’s treasure stayed exactly where he put it. But when the borders broke and the roads fell into ruin, the silence broke too. The treasure was stolen, traded, and smuggled across the continent for generations.

It passed through the hands of kings, thieves, and explorers, each of them carrying a piece of a story they didn't fully understand. Eventually, the trail went cold right here in this city. The final custodian left it behind, and they never came back to claim it.

That was centuries ago. Now, a mysterious clue has surfaced. The greatest treasury in history has been waiting here for hundreds of years. Are you the one who finally finishes the hunt?

Is this for you?

Who it's for

Starting at Colegiul Medicilor, this 2.5 km route through Sibiu's old centre follows Augustus's lost treasure past Muzeul Brukenthal, Piata Mare and the Podul Minciunilor, taking around 90 minutes. Couples, groups of friends, families with teens and locals after a weekend outing enjoy solving it at their own pace. Anyone wanting a live guide to question, or bringing children too young for a puzzle trail, should choose another option.
