Frequently asked questions
Is there a murder mystery style game we can play outdoors in Santa Rosa?
This is a self-guided detective game played on your phone. Instead of a murder, the story follows a whistleblower's tip about The Kingmakers, a secret society said to steer world events. You walk the streets, read the story at each point and solve puzzles to expose the conspiracy.
How long does the game take and how far do we walk?
Plan for around 90 minutes, covering about 2.2 km on foot. You set the pace yourself, and you can pause the game and continue later if you want a coffee break or need to stop partway through.
Where does the game start?
The route begins at the first point, listed in the app as Point 1 - LBC. The app then leads you from place to place, so you do not need to plan the route or find the next stop on your own.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play as a group?
There is no time slot to book and no guide to meet, so you can start whenever you like. One ticket covers your whole group, so friends or family can work through the clues together and share the decoding.
Is it suitable for kids, and what if it rains?
The game is aimed at adults and families with teens, who will follow the conspiracy story and puzzles most easily. It is played outdoors on a walk through the city, so bring a jacket or umbrella in wet weather, or pause and finish another day.
