Frequently asked questions
Can we use this detective game for team building in Mallorca?
Yes, it works as an outdoor alternative to a booked escape room. Teams follow clues and crack codes on their phones across about 2 km of Palma in around 90 minutes. There is no guide and no fixed start time, and one ticket covers your whole group.
How long does the game take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes and a walk of about 2 km. You set the pace yourselves, and you can pause the game at any point and continue later, so a coffee stop or a break between clues will not cost you progress.
Do we need to book a time slot?
No. The game is self-guided and played on your phone, so you can start whenever suits you, today or later in the week. There is no group to join and no guide to meet, which makes it easy to fit around other plans in Palma.
Is it suitable for children?
It is best for teenagers and adults. The story centres on a secret society manipulating world events, and the play involves following clues and cracking codes, which suits families with teens who like puzzles more than younger children.
What happens if it rains?
The game is an outdoor walk through the city, so rain will affect the experience. Because you can start any time and pause to continue later, you can wait for a dry spell or split the route across two outings.
What is the Palma Detective Mystery about?
A whistleblower pulls you into a fictional conspiracy involving a secret society. You follow the investigation through Palma, solving clues before its next plan can unfold.
Is this experience self-guided?
Yes. The Questo app guides you from clue to clue, with no guide or fixed start time. You can begin when it suits you and pause along the way.
How many accesses does our group need?
Classic quests sell access per device and player. Each person who wants to solve clues on their own phone needs their own access.
