Frequently asked questions
Where does the Christmas scavenger hunt in Ocala start and finish?
It starts at Ocala Downtown Square. The trail takes you past places such as Ocala City Hall, the Marion Theatre and the Marion Cultural Alliance at Brick City Center for the Arts, then brings you back to the Downtown Square at the end.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes for about 1.9 km on foot, spread over 12 locations. You set the pace, and you can pause the game, grab a coffee or warm up, then continue later from where you stopped.
Is it good for kids?
Yes, it is built as a lighthearted family game. Santa, Sparky and Rudolph guide and tease you while you solve puzzles and complete dares. Children old enough to read clues will get the most out of it, and younger kids can join the dares with an adult helping on the puzzles.
Can we play as a group or for an office Christmas outing?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, so friends, relatives or coworkers play together as Ground Control and collect the Elements of Spirit as a team. It works well as a team outing because everyone moves through the same story and puzzles together.
Do we need to book a time, and what if it rains?
There is no time slot to book and no guide to meet, so you can start whenever suits you. The game is played outdoors walking between locations, so dress for the weather, and if rain sets in you can pause and pick it up again later.
