Frequently asked questions
Is there a secret society game to play in New Orleans?
Yes. This self-guided detective game casts you as the investigator exposing The Kingmakers, a secret society said to have manipulated world leaders for centuries. A whistleblower's tip sends you through 12 stops around Lafayette Square, decoding secrets on your phone to unravel the conspiracy before its next scheme.
How do I sign up, and do we need to book a time?
There is no tour to join and no time slot to reserve. You play in the Questo app on your phone and start whenever you are ready at the starting point. One ticket covers your whole group, and you can pause partway and continue later.
Where does the game start and how long does it take?
It starts at the Benjamin Franklin Memorial, 1 Lafayette Square. The route covers about 2.4 km and takes around 90 minutes, passing the Louis Kossuth Memorial, the Polish Man Mural on O'Keefe Ave and The Times-Picayune before finishing back at Lafayette Square by St Charles Ave.
Can we play it tonight on short notice?
Since there is no booked start time, you can begin whenever suits you, including later today. The game is played outdoors on foot, so plan for a walk of about 2.4 km in the open and dress for the weather.
Is it suitable for children?
