Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts and ends at the Rotkäppchenbrunnen, so you finish where you began. Along the way the route passes the Friedensengel, Luitpoldbrücke, the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum, the Eisbach wave, the Weiße Rose memorial, the lions in front of the Residenz and Max-Joseph-Platz.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Plan on just under two hours to cover about 3 km on foot. Your actual time depends on how quickly you crack the puzzles. You can pause at any point, take a break, and continue later from where you stopped.
Is it suitable for children?
The puzzles are rated advanced and reward observation, logic and curiosity, so the quest suits teenagers and adults who like a real challenge. Younger children are likely to find the riddles hard going, and families with small kids may be happier with an easier quest.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play as a group?
There is no booking slot or guide to meet, so you can start whenever you like. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, and you play together on your own phones.
Is it outdoors, and what should we bring?
The whole route is outdoors through the streets and along the edge of the English Garden. Wear a hat and sunscreen, carry enough water, and make sure your phone is fully charged or bring a power bank, since the app guides you throughout.
