Frequently asked questions
Is there an escape room in Palm Bay you can play outdoors?
Yes. The Oz Escape in Palm Bay is an escape-room-style game played on your phone while you walk. Instead of a locked room, you follow clues between real locations and crack puzzles set in what is in front of you, while outsmarting the witch in a story inspired by the original Oz novel.
Where does the game start and where does it finish?
It starts at Campbell Park on E New Haven Ave at Melbourne Ct and finishes back at the same spot. Along the way it passes places such as the Melbourne Civic Theatre, Sun Shoppe Cafe and Melbourne City Hall, so you end where you parked or met up.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes to complete the route, which covers about 2.1 km on foot. Your time depends on how quickly your group solves the puzzles, and you can pause and continue later if you want a break at a cafe along the way.
Can our whole group play together, and do we need to book a time slot?
One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the game, so friends, families or work groups can play as a team. There is no booking slot: start whenever suits you, and pause and pick up again later.
Can I play solo?
Yes. You can team up with friends to crack the puzzles or take on the witch's challenges alone and compete against the leaderboard. The game also includes original Oz-themed songs written for it, which you can listen to in the app during play and on demand afterwards.
