Can you walk from Tate to Tate along the river?
Yes. The route starts at Tate Modern, takes you to Tate Britain and brings you back along the Thames past Lambeth Bridge, the Jewel Tower, Big Ben, the London Eye, the Southbank Centre and Gabriel's Wharf, finishing at Tate Modern. The full loop is about 4.5 km.
How long does the walk take?
Plan for about 2 hours 45 minutes, covering roughly 4.5 km with twelve stops. You do not have to do it in one go: you can pause at any point, take a break or visit a gallery, and continue later from where you stopped.
Where does it start and finish?
It starts and finishes at Tate Modern, so you end up back where you began. Near the end the route passes Blackfriars Railway Station, which is handy if you would rather head off by train once the final stops are done.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
