Yes. This quest leads you through Soho and Covent Garden on your phone, telling the queer stories behind places such as Bow Street, the Roxy blue plaque, Neal's Yard, Seven Dials, the Golden Lion pub and the Admiral Duncan. There is no guide and no group to join.
Is this a detective-style mystery walk?
It is. You follow clues from stop to stop, and at each place the app tells its story and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you. Solving them uncovers almost forgotten secrets of London's queer community along the route.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Trafalgar Square and finishes at Le Meridien Hotel, after passing Haymarket. It is not a loop, so you end up somewhere different from where you began. Along the way you walk through Covent Garden and Soho.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take about three hours, including walking and puzzles, over roughly 3 km. It is best played during the day. You can pause whenever you like, stop for a drink, and continue later from where you left off.
