Do I need to download anything to play?
The quest is played on your phone in the app, which leads you from place to place, tells the story of each stop and sets the puzzles. You can start whenever you like, pause along the way and continue later. No attractions tickets are required at any stop.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Charing Cross and finishes at the London Stone, so it is not a loop. Along the way you pass York Watergate, Cleopatra's Needle, Temple Church, Temple Bar Memorial, Holy Sepulchre Church, St. Paul's Cathedral and St. Mary Woolnoth.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take about 2.5 to 3 hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers 5.2 km through central London and the City. Some checkpoints may have temporary construction work, so allow a little extra time.
Can we play at any time, including in the evening?
There is no time slot to book, but the quest is meant to be played between 08:00 and 18:00, and playing at night is not recommended. Weekdays during working hours are the best choice if you want to avoid large crowds along the route.
