Frequently asked questions
Is this a murder mystery game I can play in Lexington?
It is a detective mystery rather than a murder case. A whistleblower has exposed a secret society called The Kingmakers, and you follow clues through downtown Lexington, decoding secrets at each stop to uncover their conspiracy before their next scheme is set in motion.
How is this different from an escape room in Lexington?
Instead of a booked room, you play outdoors on your phone and start whenever you like. The puzzles are set in real places on the route, including Triangle Park, the Zero Milestone Camel and the STAND Kentucky Suffragist Monument, so you solve them using what is in front of you.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The game starts at Rupp Arena and covers about 1.8 km across five stops, finishing at the Old Fayette County Court House. Most groups take around 90 minutes, and you can pause at any point and pick it up again later.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, and everyone plays together on phones. There is no set time slot, no guide and no other group to join, so you can start the walk whenever suits you, today or at the weekend.
Is it suitable for kids?
It is written for adults and families with teens. The story is a political conspiracy and the stops involve decoding puzzles, so teenagers who enjoy mysteries will get the most from it, while younger children may find the plot and code-breaking hard to follow.
