The famous painter Rembrandt van Rijn lived in the centre of Leiden for the first 25 years of his life. In this city, he mastered the skills of painting that ultimately made him the world's greatest painter.

Art lovers and Rembrandt fans can follow the painter's first 25 years in Leiden, starting from Molen De Put windmill and passing Pieterskerk, the university and his early studio sites, solving puzzles along the way. This self-guided route covers about 3 km with 10 stops and takes around two hours. It starts and ends at Molen De Put, the windmill, and follows Rembrandt's youth past the Stille Rijn, Hooglandse Kerkgracht, Pieterskerk, the university, Doelenpoort and Rembrandtplein, with a puzzle at each place.
