Frequently asked questions
How does pricing work for this outdoor escape room in Gilroy?
You pay one price for the group instead of paying per person, as many indoor escape rooms charge. One ticket covers your whole group, and everyone plays together on phones as you walk the route, so friends, families and work groups can split it however they like.
Can I play this escape game solo?
Yes. You can crack the witch's puzzles on your own and play against the leaderboard, or team up with friends. The story, clues and original Oz-themed songs are the same either way, and the route is about 2 km through downtown Gilroy.
Where does the game start and end in Gilroy?
It starts and finishes at Pinnacle Bank in downtown Gilroy. Along the way the clues lead you to places such as Wheeler Park, the Moya Art Gallery & Studio, Old City Hall Restaurant and the Gilroy Veterans Memorial Building.
Do we need to book a time slot, and how long does it take?
No booking slot is needed. You start whenever you like and the app guides you from place to place. Plan on around 90 minutes for the 2 km walk and puzzles. You can pause at any point and continue later.
Is it played outdoors, and what if it rains?
Yes, the whole game is played outside on Gilroy's streets, with puzzles set in what you see at each stop. There is no indoor section, so check the weather and dress for it. If rain comes in, you can pause and finish another time.
