What kind of puzzles are on the Emily in Paris walk?
At each of the 11 stops the app tells you the story of the place, the scene from the show and the real history behind it, then sets a puzzle you solve by looking at what is in front of you. You play it on your phone as you walk.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Place de l'Estrapade and finishes at the Palais Garnier, so it is a one-way route rather than a loop. On the way you pass Luxembourg Gardens, Café de Flore, the Monnaie de Paris, the Pont des Arts, the Louvre and the Palais-Royal Garden.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take about two and a half hours, walking and puzzles included. The route covers 5.3 km across 11 stops, so wear comfortable shoes and allow time for a coffee along the way if you want one.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends or a couple can follow the route and solve the puzzles side by side on the same game. There is no other group to join and no guide to keep pace with.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
No booking is needed. You start whenever you like, at your own pace. You can also pause the quest, for lunch or a stop at the Louvre, and continue later from where you left off.
Is this an official Emily in Paris experience?
No. It is an independent, fan-inspired city game. It uses Paris locations associated with the show alongside real local history and its own fictional Secret Penpal story.
Is this experience self-guided?
