Players follow the story of a young Colchestrian, besieged in the walls of the town along with an unwelcome Royalist army. They will learn about the Siege of Colchester, the longest siege in British history, which took place against the wider backdrop of the English Civil War. This game takes players to key historic locations, where they'll learn about the Siege of Colchester and what it was like for the people that lived through it.

Storyline

It's early summer, 1648. You're a young man living in Colchester. You work as a weaver's apprentice in the town's flourishing cloth industry.

But something terrible is heading your way. 
An advance guard of a Royalist army has arrived at one of the town's gates.

After some hesitation, they're permitted entry. The Royalist guard quickly secures the gates as they await the rest of their troops. Apparently, they don't plan on staying for long.
