Families and comic fans can spend about two hours hunting down Desperate Dan, Minnie the Minx and Oor Wullie on a 1.8 km loop that also takes in HMS Unicorn, the V&A and Discovery Point on the waterfront. Robert Burns admirers get a narrator in Scots verse and a finish at his statue. Anyone after a murder mystery or a live guide to quiz should look elsewhere, as this is a gentle, mostly outdoor statue trail.
