Frequently asked questions
Is this a self-guided Christmas scavenger hunt?
Yes. You play it on your phone with no guide. The app leads you along a magic trail through 12 locations, tells the story of Santa's crashed sleigh and sets puzzles and dares as you collect the Elements of Spirit to restart it. Santa, Sparky and Rudolph keep you company with jokes.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The game starts at 17th Street Plaza in Denver. Plan on around 90 minutes to walk about 2.2 km. Stops along the way include the Sugar Building, Larimer Square and Skyline Park, and you can go at your own pace.
Can our family or office team play together on one ticket?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, so families, visiting relatives or coworkers on a holiday team outing can play together without paying per person. Everyone follows the same story and solves the puzzles as a team.
Do we need to book a time, and can we take a break?
There is no time slot to book. Start whenever suits your group, and if you want to warm up with a hot drink or stop for the day, pause the game and pick it up later from where you left off.
Is it good for kids?
Families with children are one of the main groups who play it. The tone is silly and festive, with puzzles and dares rather than anything scary. Kids who enjoy puzzles will have fun, while younger ones may need help with clues and with the 2.2 km walk.
