The route covers about 1.8 km, but with the story and puzzles at each stop most players take around an hour and 40 minutes. Plan on close to 2 hours so you can enjoy the lake views without rushing.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Byrd Creek Dam and falls and finishes at the Aviary, on a loop through Cumberland Mountain State Park. Along the way you pass the Fishing Dock, the Amphitheatre, the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum, the Boat Dock, the Byrd Lake trails, the park office and the Camp Store.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends, couples or a family can follow Agent Hugo Vandever's undercover investigation side by side and work through the puzzles as a team.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
No booking is needed. You start whenever you like, with no group to join and no guide to meet. You can pause the game, take a break at the Camp Store or by the lake, and continue later.
