Frequently asked questions
Where does the Christmas scavenger hunt in Columbus start?
The game starts at Gambrinus: King of Beer. From there the magic trail leads you through 12 locations, including George F Schmidt Blumengarten and The Littles Household, as you collect the Elements of Spirit needed to restart Santa's crashed sleigh.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes and a walk of about 2.4 km. You do not have to finish in one go: you can pause the game and continue later, which helps if you want to stop for food or warm up along the way.
Is this like an escape room?
It shares the puzzle solving, but it happens outdoors on the streets of Columbus rather than in a locked room. Your phone guides you between 12 locations, where you solve puzzles and complete dares while Santa, Sparky and Rudolph narrate and joke with your group.
Is it good for kids?
Yes, it is built as a funny holiday story for groups, with puzzles, dares and talking characters like Rudolph. There are no difficulty tags, so with younger children plan for an adult to read clues aloud and help with the puzzles, and make sure they can manage the 2.4 km walk.
Do we need to book a time, and can our group play together?
No time slot is needed. You start whenever you like, with no guide and no other groups joining you. One ticket covers your whole group, which makes it easy for families, visiting relatives or an office team outing to play together on the same route.
