It starts at Praça 8 de Maio and finishes at Café Santa Cruz, back where it began, as the route is a loop. On the way it climbs through the old town to the Sé Velha, Paço das Escolas and the Monumental Stairs, reaches the São Sebastião aqueduct, then descends via Largo da Portagem.
